Rhieo Kickers, Meriema on Tuesday emerged champions of the Bethel Baptist Church (BBC), New Market, Kohima Open Penalty Shootout held at IG Stadium, Kohima.
The inaugural programme was graced by Neibalie Kiewhuo, Pastor of Koinonia Baptist Church, as the special guest.
The programme was chaired by Dr Eastrose Miachieo, while the invocation was pronounced by Neichalie Pfusenuo, Chaplain of Bethel Baptist Church. A special song presented by Atoka Swu added a devotional touch to the opening ceremony.
The closing function was graced by Kuolachalie Seyie, Deacon Board Chairman of Eklektos Baptist Church, Kohima, as the honour guest. The event was compered by Dr Eastrose Miachieo and Thekakhwelie Rurhia.
In the tournament, Rhieo Kickers, Meriema clinched the championship title, while Cola FC, Meriema secured the runner-up position. Unica FC and DYRS Team reached the semi-finals. The Best Goalkeeper award was bagged by Kevizakie Ciesotsu.
