Project a joint initiative of District Administration and SBI
A new era of digital learning was ushered in at Government Primary School, Shitilong, Mokokchung, on January 21, with the inauguration of a smart classroom. The project is a joint initiative of the District Administration Mokokchung and the State Bank of India under its “Empowering Education” Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, aimed at improving the quality of education for students.
Temsuchuba Jamir, SDO(C) Mokokchung, who attended the programme as the chief guest, formally inaugurated the facility. In his address, he expressed gratitude to the State Bank of India for its contribution towards community development through educational initiatives. He also expressed hope for further collaboration between the district administration and the bank in the education sector and other areas. Jamir urged the teaching staff to make effective use of the smart classroom to enhance learning outcomes and support students’ overall growth.
Chairman of the School Management Committee, Imodangba, thanked the District Administration, particularly Deputy Commissioner Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS, and the State Bank of India for their support.
Imtitoshi Imsong, Branch Manager of SBI Alongmen branch, highlighted the bank’s CSR initiatives across education, health, and sanitation, and encouraged teachers and students to utilise the smart classroom to its fullest potential.
The programme was chaired by Lipokkumla, PT, and included an invocation by Lin’u’kyanger, Pastor of MBC, and a benediction by Km Temsujungla Pongen, APCE, MBA.
Several officials attended the event, including Ajay Moktan, IAS, Assistant Commissioner; Chubasanen, EAC HQ; the District Education Officer of Mokokchung; along with students, parents, and village elders.
