The Home Department has released the list of police personnel from Nagaland who will be awarded the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM) and the Police Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM) on the occasion of Republic Day, 2026, as announced on the Ministry of Home Affairs website.
Ben Longkumer, Commandant, Nagaland, has been conferred the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service in recognition of his exceptional contributions to law enforcement.
The Police Medal for Meritorious Service will be awarded to Lanuchuba Longchar, Assistant Commandant; Mepu Konyak, Inspector/ARMR; and I Akaho Sumi, Havildar. These awards recognize their consistent dedication, professionalism, and service to the state’s police force.
