The Drugs Control Administration under the state Health and Family Welfare Department has directed all licensed wholesale medicine dealers and retail pharmacies to onboard their firms on the Online National Drugs Licensing System (ONDLS) portal by June 30.
In an order issued on February 5, the administration warned that failure to register within the stipulated deadline will adversely affect the procurement and sale of medicines after June 30.
The order further stated that pharmacies permitting Registered Medical Practitioners to conduct patient consultations on their premises must either register as clinics under the Nagaland Healthcare Establishment Act, 1997, and the Nagaland Healthcare Establishment Rules, 2022, or discontinue the practice immediately.
