The Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) has successfully conducted a five-day certificate-based capacity building training programme for Swavalamban Connect Kendras manpower from February 9 to 13.

Officials from Swavalamban Connect Kendras across all 16 districts of Nagaland participated in the programme, along with representatives from the Chief Minister’s Micro Finance Initiative Cell under the Finance Department and the Accounts Cell of IDAN. The training focused on key thematic areas including Income Tax Return, Goods and Services Tax, Entrepreneurship Development Programme Training of Trainers, Detailed Project Report preparation, and Management Information System.
The programme began with a welcome address by I. Changsang, NCS, Under Secretary, IDAN, who highlighted the role of Swavalamban Connect Kendras in strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the state through grassroots-level facilitation, mentoring, and credit linkage support.
Abeinuo Jasmine Ashao, NCS, Under Secretary, Finance Department, emphasised the importance of financial literacy and regulatory compliance for sustainable entrepreneurship.
Sessions on Income Tax Return and Goods and Services Tax were conducted by Chartered Accountant Harish Agarwal of Agarwal and Associates, along with Vizoto Alfred Rolnu, Inspector, Income Tax Department, Dimapur, who provided Nagaland-specific insights.
The Entrepreneurship Development Programme Training of Trainers module was conducted by the Entrepreneur School of Business, while Detailed Project Report preparation sessions were handled by the AMCC branch, Kohima, State Bank of India.
The valedictory programme was attended by Imtimenla, NCS, Additional Secretary, Finance Department, who underscored the need for continuous capacity building to strengthen grassroots institutions and promote economic development across Nagaland.
