The Governor of Nagaland, Nand Kishore Yadav, along with his family, visited the historic Khonoma Village on March 14, 2026.
The Governor was received by Minister for Women Resource Development and Horticulture Salhoutuonuo Kruse and Lokayukta Nagaland member Nino Iralu, along with village leaders and officials.
During the visit, the Governor interacted with villagers and community leaders and appreciated the people of Khonoma for preserving their rich cultural heritage and traditional values. He commended the community for its collective efforts in protecting the environment and promoting sustainable living practices.
The visit also provided an opportunity for the Governor and his family to experience the village’s unique traditions, cultural heritage and scenic beauty. He acknowledged the important role played by the community in conserving nature and promoting eco-friendly practices.
