The Department of Sociology, Jubilee Memorial College, Mokokchung has successfully organised Colloquia Series II on March 23, 2026, at the JMC Hall on the topic “Tales from Genes, Words and Artifacts: An Odyssey of Our Ancestors.”

Dr Tiasunep Amri, Assistant Professor, Department of Anthropology, Nagaland University, was the resource person. He deliberated on the linguistic patterns and genetic history of the Naga people.
The programme was moderated by Limasenla (6th Semester), while an overview of Colloquia Series II was presented by Tzuditen Longkumer (4th Semester).
The session concluded with an interactive discussion, with active participation from both students and faculty members, making the event a meaningful and enriching academic experience.
