Eight teams to compete as new clubs join and format expands
Season 7 of the 35+ Mokokchung Football League (MFL) will commence on April 11 with an opening ceremony at the Football Astro Turf, Ungma at 9:00 am.
The new season will feature a total of eight clubs in the league, two more than in previous years. The participating teams are Wasang FC, Nova SC, Barefoot United FC, Mulungtok FC, New Ecclesia, Longterok FC, Antique Boots FC and Terokroker FC.
Mulungtok FC, Barefoot United FC and Antique Boots FC are the three new entrants in Season 7, while Trebuchet FC have been renamed Longterok FC. Notably, Revenant FC, winners of all six previous seasons, have disbanded without an official announcement, with most of their players joining the new clubs.

The season will consist of 21 gameweeks, with four matches scheduled on each matchday. Each team will play against every other team three times, making a total of 84 matches in the season.
The bottom two teams will not qualify for the second edition of the 35+ MFL Super Cup. Wasang FC won the inaugural 35+ MFL Super Cup in 2025.
This season will also introduce player registration windows after every fifth match of the league, allowing clubs to register new players.
The 35+ MFL is a football league in Mokokchung exclusively for players aged 35 and above. Since 2025, the 35+ MFL Super Cup has also been introduced and is played in a knockout format.
