In a significant step towards strengthening sports infrastructure and promoting digital learning, a ceremonial distribution of sports kits and digital devices received from CSR partners was conducted for 15 government schools in Nagaland on April 10.

The initiative aims to enhance holistic education by integrating sports development with access to modern learning tools.
As part of the programme, one Alexa-enabled device each was provided to 60 selected government schools, while two cricket sets each were distributed to 50 selected government schools.
Additionally, one set of sepak takraw equipment was provided to all Government High Schools and Government Higher Secondary Schools across the state, with the objective of promoting indigenous and regionally popular sports.
Shashank Pratap Singh (IAS), Principal Director of School Education, said the initiative aligns with the broader vision of improving student engagement, encouraging physical fitness, and fostering digital inclusion in government schools.
“The integration of sports and smart learning tools is expected to create a more dynamic and inclusive educational environment,” he said.
The programme reflects a collaborative effort between the Department of School Education and CSR partners, highlighting the importance of community participation in strengthening the education ecosystem.
