Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung, and CKB Commerce College, Jorhat, Assam, formalised an Institutional Partnership Agreement for Academic Cooperation (IPAAC) on April 23 at CKB Commerce College, Jorhat.

Representatives of Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung, and CKB Commerce College, Jorhat, Assam, during the signing of the Institutional Partnership Agreement for Academic Cooperation (IPAAC) held at CKB Commerce College on April 23. The collaboration, aligned with NEP 2020, aims to strengthen academic linkages, quality assurance, and institutional capacity through joint academic and research initiatives.

The agreement aligns with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020 and aims to strengthen quality assurance, foster academic linkages and build institutional capacity through sustained collaboration between the two colleges.

At the signing ceremony, Dr. Breez Mohan Hazarika, Principal of CKB Commerce College, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the importance of inter-institutional partnerships in promoting academic excellence and regional cooperation.

Guest of Honour Dr. I. Wati Imchen, Principal of Fazl Ali College, said such collaborations play an important role in fostering innovation, research and holistic development in higher education institutions. He also referred to the various MoUs signed by Fazl Ali College and noted the long-standing cordial relationship between Jorhat and Mokokchung, especially in the field of education.

An overview of the host institution was presented by Dr. Sarat Borah, Vice Principal of CKB Commerce College, while Bendangsenla, Coordinator of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Fazl Ali College, highlighted the achievements and initiatives of Fazl Ali College.

Dr. Kironmoy Chetia, IQAC Coordinator of CKB Commerce College, outlined the objectives of the MoU and key areas of cooperation.

Under the partnership, both institutions will organise joint seminars, workshops, conferences and symposia, besides faculty and student exchange programmes. The collaboration will also promote joint research, publications and sharing of best practices in teaching, learning and governance.

The agreement covers natural sciences, social sciences, humanities and interdisciplinary studies, and will remain in force for five years, subject to renewal by mutual consent.
