The Department of Power has informed all concerned that, in view of the mock exercise “Operation Night Guard”, a Civil Defence air raid and blackout exercise being conducted as part of the annual Nagaland Emergency Preparedness Exercise (NEPEx), there will be a temporary power shutdown for 15 minutes on April 30, 2026, from 6:30 pm to 6:45 pm across 10 districts of the state: Dimapur, Kohima, Mokokchung, Wokha, Zunheboto, Mon, Phek, Tuensang, Peren, and Kiphire.

To ensure the success of the exercise, the department has appealed to the general public to cooperate by switching off all lights, electrical appliances, inverters, and any other sources of illumination during the said period.
Power supply shall be restored after the sounding of the siren at 6:45 pm.
