A valedictory programme for the Mid-Career Training Programme of officers of the Nagaland Secretariat Service (NSS) was held on May 8 at the Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Kohima, with Additional Chief Secretary and Director General ATI V. Shashank Shekhar attending as the special guest.

The training programme, conducted from April 27 to May 8, saw 23 Junior Section Officers successfully complete the course. Sharing their experiences, the officer trainees said the programme had boosted their confidence and motivated them to perform better in their duties.
Addressing the gathering, Shashank Shekhar stressed the importance of continuous learning and said society benefits when the government system functions effectively. He described the Nagaland Secretariat Service as the “backbone” of the Secretariat and said officers carry a significant responsibility in ensuring efficient governance.
He also called upon officers to stay away from corruption and nepotism, maintain ethical values and integrity, and strive for efficient and timely delivery of services.
“Learning is a continuous process,” he said, while also reminding the trainees of the importance of maintaining good health.
The programme was chaired by ATI lecturer Peter Konyak, while Deputy Secretary and Course Coordinator Asalie Lese presented a brief report on the training. The event was also attended by Joint Directors Er. N. Moa Longkumer and Kaholi Sema, along with Deputy Director Imlibenla Jamir.
