The Chakhroma Public Organization (CPO) and Western Sümi Hoho (WSH) have acknowledged the invitation extended by the Nagaland Foothill Road Construction Committee (NFHRCC) for its upcoming meeting on matters related to the Foothill Road project.
In a joint statement, both organisations described the Foothill Road initiative as an important public infrastructure project with significance for connectivity, welfare and economic development in Nagaland. They also conveyed appreciation for the efforts of the NFHRCC in pursuing the project.
However, the Western Sümi Hoho stated that unresolved issues currently exist between its apex body, the Sümi Hoho, and the NFHRCC. It said that until such matters are amicably resolved between the concerned parties, it is unable to formally extend cooperation to the committee at this stage. The organisation, however, expressed hope for a positive understanding and peaceful resolution in the interest of unity and progress.
On the part of the Chakhroma Public Organization, the statement clarified that while there is no conflict or disagreement with the NFHRCC, the organisation is presently constrained from extending formal cooperation as it functions under the guidance and directives of its apex body, the Angami Public Organisation (APO), and is awaiting further instructions.
Both CPO and WSH reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining cordial relations, mutual respect and constructive dialogue with all concerned organisations. They expressed hope that all pending issues would be resolved in a spirit of cooperation and collective responsibility for the welfare of the people.
The statement was issued jointly by the Chakhroma Public Organization and Western Sümi Hoho.
