Man Four’s emerged as the winner of “Unplugged – Battle of the Bands,” an acoustic music competition organized by TQ Audio at T.T. Garden, Mokokchung, on Friday.

The event featured seven bands performing a mix of original compositions and cover songs before an enthusiastic audience. According to the organizers, the competition was aimed at providing a platform for emerging musicians to showcase their talent and engage with the growing live music scene in Nagaland.

Man Four’s clinched the title with a performance that included their original song “Aoli Sanger.” The band received a cash prize of Rs 50,000 sponsored by travel entrepreneur and content creator Vishal Agarwal. They also secured an opportunity to perform at a future event organized by the Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA).

The Most Promising Band award was presented to Side Part from Kohima. Sponsored by Temsujung Photography, the award carried a cash prize of Rs 5,000.

Individual honours went to Tiakumla of Schrödinger’s Cat as Best Vocalist, Maong of Man Four’s as Best Guitarist, Anok of Schrödinger’s Cat as Best Bassist, Wati Jamir of Jack in the Box as Best Percussionist, and Imtimar Jamir of Jack in the Box as Best Keyboardist.

Expressing gratitude to participants, sponsors, judges, volunteers, and the audience, the organizers said, “TQ Audio sincerely appreciates the contribution of all participants and supporters who helped make the event a success.”

They added that the successful event reaffirmed TQ Audio’s commitment to promoting live music and nurturing emerging talent in Nagaland.
