Fazl Ali College organised an orientation programme for first semester students of BA, B.Com and B.Sc on July 8, at the college auditorium. The programme was organised to help newly admitted students gain a holistic understanding of the college’s academic environment, values and the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP).

Vice Principal L.S. Vinod delivered the welcome address, congratulating the students on securing admission to the college. He also gave a brief overview of the academic structure under the FYUGP.
The college continues its annual initiative of providing a 50 per cent concession on the admission fee to meritorious students. This year, 10 students were selected for the concession, including five from the Arts stream, three from Science and two from Commerce. During the programme, the Vice Principal handed over the refunded admission fee to the selected students.
An overview of the college was presented by Maongienla, Assistant Professor, Department of English, who highlighted the institution’s infrastructure, facilities, extracurricular activities, student support services and the importance of adhering to the college’s code of conduct.
The programme was chaired by Sashikokla Jamir, Assistant Professor, Department of Geography, while Nungshitemjen Longkumer, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, offered a special prayer for the newly admitted students.
The programme was attended by students, parents, guardians and faculty members.
