The Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) has congratulated its president, Watinuksung Jamir, on his appointment as Team Manager of the Indian Cricket Team for the upcoming two-match Test series against Sri Lanka.

The appointment marks a significant moment for Nagaland cricket, with the NCA describing Jamir’s selection as recognition of his leadership, experience and contribution to the development and promotion of cricket in the state.

In a statement, the NCA said his presence with the Indian team on an international tour would be a milestone in his professional journey as well as for cricket in Nagaland. It said the appointment reflected the growing recognition of the state and its cricket administrators at the national level.

The NCA extended its best wishes to Jamir and expressed confidence that he would represent Nagaland with distinction in his new responsibility on the international stage. It also conveyed its best wishes for the Indian team’s Sri Lanka tour.

India’s Sri Lanka Test schedule

India are scheduled to play two Tests in Sri Lanka, with the first beginning on August 15 at the Galle International Stadium. The second Test will be played from August 23 to 27 at the Sinhalese Sports Club Cricket Ground in Colombo. Both matches are scheduled to begin at 10 am IST.
