The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) will conduct physical verification of documents of candidates who have qualified through NEET for professional courses under the Nagaland State Quota on August 25 and 26 at the NSF office in Kohima.
According to an NSF release issued on August 22, the verification will be conducted by its Education Committee, and all candidates are required to appear in person along with a parent or guardian.
Candidates have been asked to bring original copies of their recent passport-sized photograph, NEET admit card and score card, HSLC and HSSLC admit cards, Scheduled Tribe Certificate and Indigenous Inhabitant Certificate.
The NSF said the exercise is intended to ensure that candidates claiming seats under the State Quota meet the required eligibility conditions.
The Federation also alleged that some non-indigenous applicants have attempted to claim seats under the Nagaland State Quota. It said it would not entertain such claims and warned that candidates found to have submitted misleading or fraudulent documents could face action.
Candidates who fail to complete the verification within the stipulated dates will, according to the NSF, be considered ineligible for allotment under the State Quota.
The NSF said the verification is part of its efforts to safeguard seats allotted under the Nagaland State Quota and urged candidates to comply with the process.
