The Local Arrangement Committee (LAC) on Repatriation of Naga Ancestral Human Remains will hold a coordination meeting on September 29 to discuss the ongoing process of repatriating Naga ancestral human remains currently housed in London.
The meeting is scheduled for 3 pm at the Western Sümi Hoho office at Chekiye Village, Dimapur.
According to the LAC, the meeting will bring together tribal leaders and representatives of civil society organisations to discuss and coordinate the repatriation process.
Invitations have been extended to tribal leadership, including the president and designated officials of the Ao Senso Telongjem Dimapur (ASTD), along with representatives of other constituent organisations.
The LAC has requested the invited organizations to attend the meeting with an accompanying official to ensure representation.
The meeting is being convened by Western Sümi Hoho president Tokuho/Suhoi Neho and Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Union Dimapur president NT Thamlong Phom, both members of the LAC.
