The Naga Students’ Union Bengaluru (NSUB) hosted its 57th Freshers’ Meet cum Nagas’ Night at the Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University) Auditorium on 2 October under the theme “A Legacy to Carry, a Future to Create.”

NSUB hosts 57th Freshers’ Meet cum Nagas’ Night in Bengaluru

The annual event welcomed new students and working professionals into the Naga community in Bengaluru and celebrated Naga culture, unity and diversity. More than 2,000 students, dignitaries and well-wishers attended the event.

In her presidential address, NSUB president Sheyini reflected on the union’s 57-year legacy and urged young Nagas to learn from previous generations and use the opportunities they receive to contribute to their community. She also encouraged members to consider what they would leave behind for future generations.

Manipur Deputy Chief Minister Eno Losii Dikho attended as chief guest, while Dr Loung Nathan K. K., Professor at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, was the guest speaker. They spoke on leadership, service, heritage and the role of young people in society.

The programme featured a guest performance by Nagaland artist KL Pamei along with cultural and artistic performances.

Shisalong Jamir from the Ao community and Khoziia Kashipri from the Mao community were crowned Mr and Ms Fresher NSUB 2026 respectively. Kashipri was also named Ms Popularity, while Ganguanglung Kamei from the Zeliangrong community was named Mr Popularity.
