The Japukong Students’ Conference (JKM) donated seven ceiling fans to Government Middle School (GMS) Changdang on October 12, with sponsorship from Temjen Imna Along, Minister for Tourism and Higher Education, Government of Nagaland.
According to the JKM, the need for ceiling fans at the school came to its attention during its Consultative Tour in 2025. The conference subsequently brought the matter to the attention of the minister, who sponsored the seven fans.
The fans were handed over by JKM officials, including the president, general secretary and advisor, in the presence of the school’s head teacher and staff, along with representatives of the Changdang Students’ Union.
The JKM expressed appreciation to the minister for his support towards improving the school’s learning environment. It also reaffirmed its commitment to addressing issues faced by the student community according to their needs and priorities.
