What if you woke one morning, and suddenly knew,

That all you had lived was a dream passing through?

The laughter, the sorrow, the battles, the strife-

Were scenes in a story you called your own life?

What if those who once guided your feet to the Light

Were nowhere among you, beyond human sight?

And someone you disliked and judged from afar,

Had many heavenly treasures beyond every star?

What if you discovered, when standing above,

You’d been blessed to become greater thru’ love?

Yet settled for less than the calling you knew,

Because fear held you from the purpose you grew?

What if you never saw God face to face,

Yet lived in the fullness of mercy and grace?

What if His presence was somehow unseen,

Yet every breath testified where He had been?

What if God played your whole life on a screen,

Before every soul, every moment, every scene-

Your childhood, your failures, things kept concealed,

The wounds you had hidden, the truths unrevealed?

What if every thought that you secretly kept

Was suddenly brought forth, no longer inept?

Your thoughts became movies, motives displayed,

Nothing forgotten, nothing hidden, nothing delayed.

What if Grace had a body, and Mercy a face,

And Love could be touched in a tangible place?

What if every kindness, each pardon and prayer,

Had a substance and some form in eternity there?

What if you were granted one moment to return,

To those who still wander, to those who still yearn?

One message to the ailing world, one final appeal:

“Come home while there’s time; let God’s mercy be real.”

What if you’re summoned before heaven’s great throng,

And asked to proclaim what you’ve learned all along?

To preach to the angels and saints gathered there-

What would you say, as you breathe eternity’s air?

What if every word you had ever expressed

Was replayed for your hearing, both worst and best?

The whispers, the promises, the jokes and the lies-

Every word rising again beneath the heavenly skies?

What if the wealth you had gathered was gone,

But one act of kindness continued beyond?

What if the trophies you’d treasured below

Were dust but your love continued to grow?

What if the title you carried, the fame that you knew,

Had no weight or meaning in eternity’s infinite view?

And heaven remembered, not what you possessed,

But how you’d loved, forgiven, served, and confessed?

What if you finally understood whilst standing there,

That God had been present through every despair?

Through doors closed and through prayers unanswered,

Through nights when you thought you were abandoned?

And what if the greatest surprise of it all

Was learning that grace had sustained every fall?

That mercy had followed each step of your way,

And love had been writing your story each day?

Then perhaps heaven would whisper, “You finally can see-

The life that you lived was preparing you for Me.

The dreams, disappointments, the losses, the scars,

Were pieces of a story that reached for the stars.”

So what if this morning is more than we know?

What if eternity waits just beyond what we show?

What if every heartbeat is quietly saying:

Live now for forever- for forever is waiting.

When life’s final curtain descends from the stage,

And the last earthly chapter turns its final page,

May grace be our anchor, may Christ be our guide,

And may heavens reveal what we lived for inside.

For life may be shorter than any dream’s span,

And eternity longer than we’d ever think or plan.

So while we have breath, let our purpose be clear:

Love deeply. Forgive freely, and live without fear.
