In view of the week-long (ICONIC WEEK) celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav from 6th June to 12th June 2022, a Credit Outreach Program was held at DCs Conference Hall, Mokokchung on Wednesday under the initiative of SBI Lead Bank, Mokokchung. Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence.

 

On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh, IAS, thanked the banks in the district for their proactive role in ushering developmental activities. He said, as of now, the economy of the state is mainly a rural economy and many people, though having skills, cannot put into practice due to financial constraints. Therefore, he asked the people to take advantage of the schemes being provided by the banks and to invest it wisely, so as to attain sustainable livelihood. He also asked the beneficiaries to sensitize the various schemes being provided by the banks in the community so that others could also avail the same.

 

Regional Manager, SBI, Mokokchung Region, Joy Chandra Chakma delivered the keynote address; Lead District Manager, Lanuteka Imchen distributed the sanction letter/cheques to the beneficiaries and gave a PowerPoint Presentation on Social Security Schemes. Associate Pastor, MTBA, Rev. Temsuwati Kichu said the invocation and Senior Branch Manager BOB, Mokokchung, D.F. Athu proposed the vote of thanks while the program was chaired by Asstt. Manager, SBI, RBO, Mokokchung, Nouluonou Naleo.
