Mokokchung, June 12 (MTNews): The Naga Students’ Union Guwahati (NSUG) and the NERIST Naga Students’ Union (NNSU), Itanagar have in separate press notes expressed condolences to the bereaved family of Late Mapuienla Longkumer, whose life was cut short after hit-and-run case on May 26, 2022. The two unions have also condemned the reckless act of the driver who fled the scene with no regards to the life of the victim.

 

“The NNSU strongly condemns the barbaric act committed by the culprit and urges the law and order departments to strictly investigate the matter and administer deserving punishment to the culprit involved,” its president Imnasunep Pongen and general secretary Thotthan MC Ningshen said in a press release.

 

NSUG president Temsunungsang Pongen and general secretary Khotsozo Venuh also appealed to the police to take strict measurement in investigating the case, so the culprit involved will be brought to justice immediately.
