Mokokchung, June 26 (MTNews): The District Education Officer (DEO), Kiphire has clarified that the claims made by the Rising People’s Party regarding the school building of GHS Salomi under Kiphire district was “baseless without ascertaining the fact.”
DEO Kiphire, Deenabandhu Panda in a press release clarified that the picture of GHS Salomi issued to the newspapers by RPP was the old building. It was also clarified that the school building of the primary section at GHS Salomi was constructed through ‘Aspirational fund’ during 2020-21 which was funded by NEC and verified by engineers from NEC. The same building was inaugurated by T Yangseo Sangtam, Deputy Speaker NLA on November 15, 2021.
Another building was constructed by RMSA for the high school section in the year 2017-19 and inaugurated by then Principal Director on November 5, 2019. The school is running smoothly in these two buildings, the DEO stated.
The School Management and Development Committee (SMDC) of GHS Salomi also confirmed the DEO’s clarification. Chairman of SMDC GHS Salomi, Rampratap Maurya and Secretary, P Heamla in a press release said that the RPP press release “was totally baseless” and was published without ascertaining the fact.
