Mokokchung, July 18 (MTNews): Nagaland state unit of the Janata Dal (United) has said that it is a privilege and an honour for the people of Nagaland in general and Janta Dal-United well-wishers in particular to have Senchumo NSN Lotha, president JD(U) Nagaland and Convenor NEEC JD(U) to be appointed as National Secretary, Janata Dal (United).
Imsumongba Pongen, general secretary, JD(U) and Holuvi Awomi, secretary, JD(U) Nagaland Unit has in a press release said that the party appreciated Bihar chief minister and JDU national president, Nitish Kumar and Lok Sabha member Rajiv Ranjan Singh for reposing faith in Lotha’s leadership and alleviating him to national level.
“We are happy and thankful to the national leadership for recognizing the dedicated and diligent services and laudable performances of NSN Lotha in the recently concluded Manipur Legislative Assembly Election, which is of great significance to the people of Northeast and Nagaland in particular,” they said.
The party assured their continued support and cooperation to the national leadership in taking the party forward in the state as well as at national level. “JDU Nagaland also wishes Lotha all the very best in his new assignment and hope that he will continue to work in fulfilling the aspiration of the party workers and the people of the state,” the press release said.
“JDU state unit further believes that under the dynamic leadership of NSN Lotha and Kitoho S Rotokha State General Secretary, the party will grow from strength to strength and perform even better in the ensuing Nagaland Legislative Assembly election,” it added.
