A motor accident at New Market area on Tuesday afternoon left the busy road blocked for more than 2 hours causing much inconvenience to others travelling along the route. A mini-truck rammed into a pickup truck after its brakes reportedly failed. The mini-truck, bearing registration number NL 02G-2672 belonging to JNV Mokokchung laden with some LPG cylinders, was going downhill while the pickup (NL 01AB 5216) truck was upbound. Fortunately, no fatalities or injuries were reported. Mokokchung Traffic Police personnel were seen onsite overseeing the situation while a recovery truck was also called to tow the immobile vehicles. (MTNews)
