A Tata Safari met with an accident at Hospital Road, Penli Ward, near Sangtam Baptist Church, Mokokchung on 16 March. According to eye witnesses, the accident happened at around 4:40 PM and there were two occupants in the car. The vehicle was going from the commercial area towards the hospital when the accident happened, reportedly due to mechanical failure. Both occupants sustained minor injuries and are recuperating at IMDH, reported to be out of danger.
