Officials from the Airports Authority of India visited Mokokchung on February 27 to conduct pre feasibility studies for a proposed greenfield airport. Officer on Special Duty Transport AIR CELL M Ababe Ezung, ADC Mokokchung Atsungba Walling, EAC Neithozo Theunuo, and officials from the NST Department and the District Land Records and Survey assisted the team, a DIPR report said.
While the DIPR report did not share further details, it was learnt that the AAI team surveyed an area of land in Longkhum village. However, MT could not independently confirm this at the time of filing the news report.
