Impur, 24 May (MTNews): The ABAM Music Ministry organized a Choirmaster Re-learning program on 23 and 24 May 2024 at Impur. The program aimed to enhance the skills of choirmasters in conducting, rehearsal techniques, and warm-up skills, acknowledging the crucial role they play in church worship.
Rev. Dr. Mar Pongener, Executive Secretary of ABAM said in a press release that music is essential in church worship, as it unites the congregation spiritually and enriches their souls with happiness and joy. He highlighted that the ingenuity of the choirmaster is key to the melody in church music.
Amongbi Jamir, Associate Pastor of the Music Ministry at Kohima Ao Baptist Arogo (KABA), as the resource person. A total of 105 participants, including choirmasters and choir members from 54 churches, attended the training.
Noting the significance of church music in worship and the ongoing commitment of the ABAM Music Ministry to this cause, the Executive Secretary expressed hope that God would continue to guide the choirmasters in acknowledging the importance of church music in worship, thereby fostering a peaceful worship environment.
