Mokokchung, July 16 (MTNews): The ABAM Youth Ministry conducted the 7th ‘Lead Like Jesus’ program for all the youth ministries under the aegis of ABAM from July 14-16 at Impur under the leadership of Toshi Sanglir, Secretary, ABAM YM, a press note issued by ABAM Impur on Saturday said.

“Today, having noticed the need for a change in every field of our society, leading like Jesus has been speckled as the way to bring change in all fields. Therefore, this program was introduced to all the Youth leaders so that as they take a significant share of leadership, they will deliver our society from all odds,” the press note said.
“The takeaway in this program is that Jesus is our leader and spectator. Since he is the leader and spectator, the leader’s primary job is to satisfy and fulfill his expectation. And to let that happen, leaders are to first deliver their lives from all evil. This is the only way for any change in our society,” it added.

Rev. Dr. Mar Pongener, Executive Secretary, ABAM in his keynote address, said that the first and foremost duty for leaders is to “lead themselves.” It added, “Only in leading oneself, there will be influences and change. And so, be the one who is able to lead himself/herself in the first place and take the lead,” he added.

A total of 96 Youth Leaders headed by the Associate Pastor Youth from 16 churches attended the 7th and last program. Facilitators during the program were Toshi Sanglir, Youth Secretary, ABAM; Imnatoshi, DABA; Chubatemjen, Coordinator, Sunday School, ABAM; and Teka Imchen, Coordinator, ABAM YM.
