The ABAM Youth Ministry (YM) organized the Lead Like Jesus (LLJ) Encounter for ABAM Zone 2 from February 21 to 24, 2025, in Impur. This event is part of a broader movement that encourages leaders to live, love, and lead like Jesus by embracing the role of “Servant Leaders.” The program emphasizes that leadership is a form of influence, and every individual has the power to impact others positively or negatively.

According to an update received here, since 2017, ABAM YM has been facilitating this program, helping participants understand the significance of servant leadership in positively influencing those around them. Many have shared how they have learned to lead like Jesus, embracing challenges that have transformed their understanding, character, and behavior, thus making positive contributions to their communities.

Recognizing the need for more leaders committed to serving God and others, ABAM YM, in collaboration with LLJ India, offers facilitator training for aspiring leaders. This year, four new facilitators joined the program, strengthening the movement’s outreach and impact.
A total of 28 participants from six churches attended the program, with four receiving facilitator training.

A special moment during the event was the dedication of the Ao language translation of the LLJ workbook, a project made possible with the support of LLJ India. Rev Dr Mar Pongener, Executive Secretary of ABAM, dedicated the translated workbook on February 22, 2025. ABAM YM also expressed gratitude to the translation committee for their dedication in producing the workbook.

The facilitators for this program included Abi Chacko, LLJ Coordinator for India; Toshi Sanglir, Secretary of ABAM YM; and Teka Imchen, Coordinator of ABAM YM.
