Nagaland’s ‘About Us’ has officially dropped their self-titled album making it their debut release through Frontier Records Srl’, Naples Italy on November 11, 2022.
“It’s a moment of great joy for us, months of hard work, and the realization of a global dream; Ah, It feels good,” said K Edward Ngullie, the manager of the band.
“Every single member of the band gave their heart out. Generally most people think making music is simple and easy exercise. Every single song is a product of hours and hours of hard labor. I am very proud of them all. The Lord has been good and kind to us and we are eternally grateful for His mercies,” he added.
“We hope that our audience will like our songs, buy our album and watch our shows too”.
In a press communiqué the Manager further stated that as an experimental Melodic rock group, the debut album was made “to explore and experiment the band’s influences,” which can be observed as the songs progresses from hard to softer side and power ballad.
“The listeners will be treated with varied taste and influences of the band throughout the album,” he concluded, hoping it will be “Rock On Top”.
About Us first entered the music scene with the release of their first single ‘Loaded love’ on 21 December 2020 which was received with a mixed response. However, the band’s next single ‘Gimme gimme’ shot the band to become one of the most-loved rock bands in Nagaland.
The music video of ‘Gimme gimme’ reached almost half a million viewers in a few months’ time before it was deleted from all streaming sites to be re-released by the band’s record label.
Wrapping up a busy 2021, the band released their second music video “Right now” on December 18, 2021.
About Us also released their third music video “Our Fairyland “on October 31, 2022. The album consists of 10 songs and a bonus track.
