Kohima, 16 May (MTNews): Advisor to Chief Minister of Nagaland, Abu Metha met the Executive Director of the Sports Authority of India (SAI) on Tuesday in Kohima. According to Metha, they had a “fruitful meeting” and discussed a “focused development plan for promotion of Sports in Nagaland and North East.” Saying that he is grateful to Varghese for his visit, Metha also appreciated Varghese’s positive inputs and wholesome support and added that he is looking forward to “exciting times ahead.”
Metha is also the Associate Vice President, Athletics Federation of India, and Chairman of the ‘National Mountain Running Committee’ of the Athletics Federation of India. He is also the Secretary General of the Nagaland Olympic Association.
Sports Authority of India (SAI) was set up in 1984 and has been entrusted with the twin objectives of promoting sports and achieving sporting excellence at the national and international level.
