Lumami, Zunheboto (MTNews): On November 21, 2023, Nagaland University welcomed Sunil Kumar Barnwal, Additional Secretary (Education), Ministry of Education, Government of India, to its headquarters in Lumami. The visit was marked by the gracious presence of the Vice Chancellor, Prof Jagadish Kumar Patnaik, Registrar Dr Abemo, Finance Officer, and a host of deans, faculties, and officers who extended a warm reception to Barnwal. It is the first time such a high-ranking government official has visited the university in its history.

During his visit, Additional Secretary Barnwal engaged in constructive dialogues with the deans, faculties, officers, students, and research scholars of the university.
