Mokokchung, 29 May (MTNews): Advisor of Minority Affairs and Sericulture, Imkongmar visited Government Sericulture Farms located at Tsiesema village in Kohima, Wokha village, Wokha, VK in Zunheboto, Ungma Village in Mokokchung, Dhansiripar village in Chumukedima, Samaguri village in Dimapur and District Sericulture Offices at Mokokchung and Dimapur from 19 to 22 of this month.
He was accompanied by the Director of Sericulture, T Sanny Pongener and officials of the Directorate. During the meetings, the Advisor appealed to the farm officials to work hard with dedication and to emphasize more on farm production to generate more revenue. He also suggested organizing awareness programs for the farmers from time to time and also selecting the farmers based on their performances.
The Advisor remarked that the visits were a ‘good learning experience’ where he had the opportunity to meet people working at the grassroots level.
