K Tokugha Sukhalu, IAS (Retd.), MLA and Advisor for Food and Civil Supplies, Legal Metrology and Consumer Protection, and Chairman of the Urban Local Bodies and Village Council Committee, Government of Nagaland, visited Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Zunheboto, on March 20.

He was accompanied by party workers from NPF 35 Zunheboto Assembly Constituency and interacted with students and faculty, expressing concern for the school’s progress and development.
During the visit, Sukhalu addressed students at the morning assembly, recalling his own early education at the same institution. He noted that the school has produced many bureaucrats and technocrats and encouraged students to work hard and pursue their goals. “If they can do it, why can’t you?” he said.
He urged students to value education and respect their mentors, highlighting the important role teachers play in shaping their future. He also advised students to clarify doubts with teachers rather than relying on peers, and stressed the importance of punctuality.
Following the assembly, Sukhalu held a brief meeting with faculty members led by the Vice Principal, where various concerns were raised. He encouraged teachers to remain sincere and dedicated, stating, “No matter what politicians, bureaucrats or technocrats do, it is teachers who build the future of students.”
