Nagaland’s Advisor for CAWD and Taxes, Kudecho Khamo, today emphasized the importance of building a vibrant and self-sufficient society. He was speaking at the Thanksgiving and Dedication Programme of the Chozuba Town Council held at Vamuzo Memorial Town Hall, Chozuba.

Advisor Khamo calls for shift in mindset at
Khamo highlighted the need to shift the mentality of the people away from reliance on political and government support. He stressed that this change is crucial for social transformation and improving people’s lives.

The Advisor pointed out the limited opportunities in government jobs and advocated for entrepreneurship as a viable alternative. He urged the councilors to respect and uphold their mandate to work for the welfare of the people, emphasizing that they should be responsible and accountable.

Khamo also encouraged the councilors to work as a team towards the party’s vision, ensuring they reach out to every individual. He advised candidates and followers who did not succeed to remain committed and steadfast in their dedication to serving the people.

Rev. Dr. Vevo Phesao, Senior Pastor of Chakhesang Baptist Church, Minister’s Hill, Kohima, offered a dedicatory prayer for the councilors and addressed the event.

Councilors delivered speeches acknowledging the mandate given to them and pledged to work for the welfare of the people.

The welcome address was delivered by Vevohu Epao, President of NDPP 18th Chozuba AC. The programme was led by Thepurkrayi Nienu, General Secretary of NDPP 18th Chozuba AC, with the invocation prayer given by Sosuyi Khesoh, Senior Pastor of Rikhuba Baptist Church.
