Advisor for Water Resources, Tongpang Ozukum, announced that construction of a new playground in Longmisa Village will begin in December 2025, fulfilling a promise he made during his election campaign. He made the announcement while speaking at the Moatsü festival celebration organized by the Longmisa Village Council, held at the village playground.

Addressing the gathering, Ozukum said, “If I don’t speak political talks in Angetyongpang, it won’t make sense.” Acknowledging past political tensions, he said, “There is no enmity with Longmisa, but during election, we often have enmity.” He added, “I don’t have any bitter feeling,” and urged the villagers to let go of any animosity—both towards him and towards his native, Mongsenyimti village. “I would love to join hands and work together,” he said.

During the event, Merensosang, Chairman of Longmisa Village Council, submitted a representation to the advisor requesting repairs of certain approach roads in preparation for the village’s upcoming centenary celebration.
Responding to the request, Ozukum said, “I can’t declare it today but since there is still time for the centenary, hopefully we will find a way.”

Ozukum also congratulated the Government High School Longmisa for the 100% pass percentage in the recently declared HSLC result.

Earlier in the program, Toshitemsu spoke on the significance of the Moatsü festival, emphasizing how the Ao Nagas have preserved the festival since the days of Chungliyimti.
