“A protracted solution is uncertain and solely dependent on God. Many have devoted their time and made sacrifices for the Naga cause,” said Tovihoto Ayemi, MLA and Advisor for Tribal Affairs and Election, Government of Nagaland. He was speaking at the silver jubilee celebration of the Ayemi Kughuko Küghakulu, Nagaland (AKKN), held at Samson Phu, Agahuto, Chumoukedima.
Tovihoto stated that the Naga issue shares one common objective among Nagas, requiring a unified political vision and aspiration for an early settlement to bring peace and prosperity to the Naga people.
He appealed to Sumi national workers to build networks with all Naga political organizations, urging them to set aside differences to work toward an early resolution. He also called on Sumi GBs to play active roles as mediators and facilitators, continuing to build bridges within the Sumi community and with the Nagas at large.
