Following the footsteps of Kohima Science College, Jotsoma, the Principal of Mount Tiyi College, Wokha, has called on all teaching faculty, ministerial staff, and Grade 3 and 4 employees to participate in a “Peaceful Dharna” on Monday, April 21, 2025.
In an internal notification, Principal Dr Bweyhunte Khing informed that the demonstration is being held in compliance with a directive from the Nagaland Minister for Higher Education to express solidarity with the Government of Nagaland’s decision to regularize 147 contractual teachers across the state.

The dharna will take place within the college campus from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. All staff members have been directed to participate compulsorily through their physical presence.
The call for the dharna comes amid strong protest from the student community and competitive exam aspirants. The NSF and ANCSU has asked all its students to refrain from any political protest.
