The four-day Inter-School Sports Competition under Aghunato Sub-Division commenced on March 26, 2025, at Aghunato Ground, with ADC Aghunato, D. Robin, gracing the opening ceremony as the special guest. The competition is being held under the theme “Bridging Schools, Building Champions.”
A total of eight schools are participating in the competition, with nearly a thousand students taking part in various sports disciplines, including football, badminton, volleyball, and relay races.
Addressing the gathering during the opening ceremony, ADC D. Robin encouraged the students to embrace resilience, teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship throughout the competition. He also expressed gratitude to all Heads of Offices under Aghunato Sub-Division and other well-wishers for their support in making the event possible.
The competition is organized by the Aghunato Town Students’ Union (ATSU) in collaboration with the Heads of Offices, Aghunato Sub-Division, and supported by the Nagaland Super League (NSL). Nitsato K. Yepthomi, President of ATSU, delivered the welcome address, while the oath-taking ceremony was administered by Awoka Awomi, Sports Secretary, ATSU.
