The Dimapur District Congress Committee informed that All India Congress Committee (AICC) observer Dr Vijay Laxmi Sadho, a senior Congress leader from Madhya Pradesh, arrived on February 17, to review and strengthen party activities in Dimapur, Chumoukedima and Niuland districts.
Dr. Sadho has had a long political career, having served five terms as a Member of the Legislative Assembly, four terms as a Cabinet Minister, and one term as a Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament from Madhya Pradesh. She also served for ten years as Secretary of the All India Congress Committee, reflecting her sustained commitment to the Indian National Congress.
During her visit, Dr. Sadho toured the three districts and held meetings with party leaders, frontal organisations, block committees and grassroots workers. Accompanied by DCC president Kutoho Chishi and his team, she interacted directly with party members to understand organisational challenges, ground realities and strategies for strengthening the party at the booth and district levels.
Khriedi Theünuo, Working President of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee and in-charge of Dimapur district, also held detailed discussions with Dr. Sadho on organisational coordination and preparation for upcoming political challenges.
The Dimapur District Congress Committee expressed gratitude to Dr. Sadho for her leadership and guidance, stating that her visit motivated party workers and strengthened unity across the three districts.
