The Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) in a notification on Monday informed all non-locals residing within Mokokchung District who are yet to renew/register their “ILP & AKM Census Card” that renewals and registrations will be conducted from 20 to 28 November, 2024 at the AKM Conference Hall from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

In this regard, the AKM also appealed to all the Ward Chairmen, Village Councils and employers as well the concerned Guarantors to ensure that all the non-locals residing within their respective jurisdiction are duly registered during the stipulated time.

“As the infiltration of illegal immigrants not only poses an imminent threat to the indigenous inhabitants of Nagaland but also the cultural perseverance and identity of Nagas as a whole, we expect continued cooperation from the administration and support from all the citizens of Mokokchung District,” AKM stated.

AKM cautioned that there will be intensive checking after the stipulated date and those found without proper documents during inspection will be deported immediately.

According to the AKM, the documents required are: ILP (Renewed); AKM Census Card; Guarantor along with photo documents (1 photo each for every guarantee); NOC from Ward/Village Council Chairman with detailed House Owner Name, House Number, Name of Tenant and Ward/Sector Seal & Signature of the competent authority.

Further, AKM warned that if any such individual(s) is found with forged documents, they will be liable for further legal actions and consequences whereby the concerned Guarantors will be held solely responsible.

“Apart from their own personal documents for renewal/registration, no individual (Guarantor/Employer) bulking documents/cards will not be entertained,” AKM added.
