The Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) has decided to suspend its planned agitation against the shortage of doctors at Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH) for March 17, as a mark of respect to the late Dr T Senka Yaden and to observe the mourning day declared by Ao Senden.

AKM President Lanutoshi Aier informed that instead of the agitation, AKM will be organizing a candlelight vigil in memory of Dr T Senka Yaden. The vigil will take place at 6 PM at Main Police Point, Mokokchung.

It was also informed that the agitation will resume from March 18 as scheduled.
