The Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) has informed that the 64th Teachers’ Day 2025 Program scheduled to be organized by AKM has been cancelled.
Informing the student community, teaching fraternity, and the general public about the cancellation, AKM said the decision was taken in view of the “unresolved issue concerning the reservation policy under review by the 5-Tribes Committee, wherein it was collectively resolved that there shall be non-participation in all State Government functions until the matter is addressed and resolved by the Government.”
AKM said, “In respect to the collective decision and standing by the resolution, AKM will refrain from organizing the 64th Teachers’ Day Program,2025 for this year. We deeply regret the inconvenience caused but seek the understanding of all concerned that this decision is taken in solidarity with the resolution adopted by the 5-Tribes Committee.”
AKM added that it acknowledges and appreciates the invaluable contributions of the teaching community towards society. “While we are unable to hold the formal program this year, our respect and gratitude for teachers remain undiminished,” it stated.
