The Ao Kaketshir Mungdang (AKM) has expressed appreciation for the Mokokchung traffic police’s efforts in conducting liquor tests on driversAMP of passenger vehicles.
The AKM praised the traffic police, saying their “initiative to ensure the safety of passengers and reduce incidents of drunk driving is indeed commendable and displays a strong commitment to public safety.”
With the onset of the festive season approaches, the AKM said it becomes increasingly necessary to prioritize responsible driving and requested all travelers to “refrain from engaging in any form of rash driving, which not only endangers personal safety but also jeopardizes the wellbeing of others on the road.”
Further, the AKM urged all passenger vehicle operators to follow guidelines concerning passenger comfort and cleanliness. It stated that “maintaining well-kept seats and ensuring a hygienic environment is essential for overall experience of travelers and it reflect positively on the public transport service.”
