The Ao Kaketshir Mungdang (AKM) on Saturday issued a firm directive to KC Infra Projects Pvt. Ltd., calling for an immediate halt to all ongoing construction activities at the Dr. Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH) in Mokokchung. The organization cited concerns over the continuation of work despite a pending inspection by a designated evaluation team.
In a letter addressed to the KC Infra Projects Pvt. Ltd., Guwahati, Assam, the construction firm in contract engaged for the project, the AKM stated that construction and repair work, including those previously reported structural cracks, are being carried out without official clearance.

“It has come to our notice that despite the pending inspection by the designated evaluation team, construction activities at the site are still continuing and repairing works are done on the cracks highlighted in our previous statement,” the organization stated.
AKM added that no further work should continue until a thorough inspection is conducted and formal clearance is granted by the competent authorities.
“We would like to clearly state that until and unless the evaluation team conducts a thorough inspection and provides official clearance, all construction activities must be halted immediately from today i.e. 31/05/2025 onwards and remain suspended until further notice,” the AKM wrote.
“This directive is being issued in the interest of transparency, accountability, and to ensure that all infrastructural works meet the expected standards and guidelines,” the AKM stated.
