Mokokchung, 7 March (MTNews): In continuation of its previous notification issued on 6 February, the Ao Students Conference (AKM) has on Thursday in a notification informed all the concerned shops/owners within the district to keep their shops closed on Sundays with effect from 10 March 2024. This, AKM said, is to “maintain the sanctity and to safeguard the sentiments of the people irrespective of faith.”
“All concerned business establishments are directed to adhere to the law and practices of the land. There will be consequences against the violators of this directive,” AKM vice president Onenpong and general secretary Satemmongba stated in the notification.
