Mokokchung, 7 August (MTNews): Emporium Training & Consultancy Pvt Ltd (ETCPL) and Ao Kaketshir Mungdang (AKM) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a period of 5 years on 7 August 2023 at the latter’s office. This initiative aims to address the skill development and job placement needs of the region’s youth, whether educationally qualified or drop-outs, providing them with pathways to a brighter future.

ETCPL, a vocational training institution registered under the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Tourism & Hospitality Sector Skill Council, Government of India, is also accredited as a partner under the Skill India International Network (SIIN) under the National Skill Development Corporation.

 

This partnership authorizes ETCPL to hire candidates for various organizations worldwide. Established in 2007, ETCPL was born out of the increasing demand for trained manpower in sectors like hospitality, aviation, and cruise-lines.

 

Lanutoshi Aier, President of Ao Kaketshir Mungdang, pointed out the dearth of job opportunities for educated youths and drop-outs in Mokokchung and neighboring areas.

 

“Many find themselves unskilled, while others face a mismatch between their skills and available jobs, resulting in underemployment,” he said.

 

In response to these challenges, he said the Ao Kaketshir Mungdang took this progressive step to extend avenues and opportunities to the region’s youth, leading to the signing of the MoU with Emporium TCPL.

 

A career guidance program is also in the pipeline, tentatively scheduled for September, aimed at empowering the youth of Mokokchung.

 

Temjenkala Aier, CEO of Emporium TCPL, expressed her honor to collaborate with Ao Kaketshir Mungdang. She commended the organization’s pioneering achievements in preserving tradition and culture amidst the fast-paced modern world. Addressing the issue of unemployment, she affirmed Emporium’s commitment to equipping youths with skills and providing job placement to unlock their potential.

 

Anirban Mukherjee, Operations Manager, India & International – Emporium Skill Training Institute, who signed the MoU, acknowledged Ao Kaketshir Mungdang’s decision and shared insights about Emporium’s mission.

 

He emphasized the challenges faced by youths due to limited opportunities and the reluctance of parents to allow their children to explore overseas employment. Mukherjee highlighted the lucrative prospects available abroad and encouraged Indian students to possess an Indian passport to facilitate international exploration.

 

So far, Emporium has already provided job placements to 200 Naga youths across the globe.
