The Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) will observe a solemn occasion on March 20, 2025, to honor the supreme sacrifices of Lt. Kekuojalie Sachü of Kohima Village and Lt. Vikhozo Yhoshü of Kigwema Village, who laid down their lives for the Naga people’s cause.
In a public statement, AKM has appealed to all educational institutions under its jurisdiction to observe a one-minute silence on the day, paying tribute to the sacrifices made by the martyrs. This collective moment of reverence is aimed at fostering gratitude and reflection, particularly among the younger generation, on the values of justice, unity, and peace upheld by the martyrs.
The observance this year holds special significance as it marks the 25th Anniversary of the NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy.
AKM further emphasized the importance of recognizing and preserving the legacy of those who have contributed to the progress and dignity of the Naga people. The conference expressed hope for the cooperation of all concerned to ensure that this tribute is conducted with the solemnity and respect it deserves.
